Parents and caregivers are important sources of information on relationships and sexuality. The organizations listed below support parents’ roles in providing accurate information and resources to their children.

The Chatham County Public Health Department has numerous curriculums and print materials that parents, as well as community leaders, can use to help talk about sexual and reproductive health issues. Some materials are available in Spanish too. Topics include:

  • HIV/AIDS
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
  • HPV Vaccination
  • Menstruation
  • Puberty (for boys and girls)
  • Condom Use
  • Birth Control
  • Safe Sex Practices
