Child Victim Services

The Child Victim Services (CVS) Program provides outreach, education and case management to abused children and their non-offending family members impacted by felony crime.  This includes crisis counseling, court support and referral to needed community resources. The overarching goal is minimizing the negative effects that abusive trauma has on each child by providing support and access to services that promote healing and recovery.

The director helps coordinate a multi-disciplinary team comprised of various county agencies offering support for individuals and families affected by trauma.

The CVS program includes an abuse prevention program dedicated to teaching elementary students about safety and personal boundaries, using the “Think First and Stay Safe” program.
