Beaver Management Assistance Program

Chatham County participates in the NC Wildlife Resources Commission's Beaver Management Assistance Program. Chatham County pays an annual fee so citizens are eligible for cost share assistance for beaver management to reduce water levels that may threaten private roadways, agricultural cropland or general property.

If you are interested in this program, we will connect you with a USDA Wildlife Specialist. They will discuss options and reduced rates then if you chose to participate, they will perform the beaver management activities.

Call our office at (919) 542-8240 for more information about this program.
