Victim Services Coordinators are available to assist crime victims in the aftermath of trauma by offering supportive services throughout the criminal justice process in an effort to prevent future victimization. From the moment a crime occurs, through prosecution and sentencing, a Victim Services Coordinator can provide consistent assistance to victims of crime and their families. We offer support to the community through crisis intervention, safety planning, investigative support, court preparation and accompaniment, referrals, follow-up, and protection order assistance. Assistance for crime victims is provided regardless of whether the crime has been reported to law enforcement. Types of crimes include, but are not limited to: violent crimes, family/domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, cyberstalking/cyberbullying, harassment, communicating threats, property crimes, identity theft/fraud, etc.

Victim Services Coordinators are available by phone and in-person. Visit us at the Chatham County Sheriff's Office at 295 West Street, Pittsboro, NC 27312 (M-F, 8-5).
