The Haw River Adventure Camp is hosted and run by the Haw River Canoe & Kayak Company. Click here to view the general facts sheet for the Haw River Summer Adventure Camp.

The Adventure Paddle Camp is designed to engage campers with the outdoors through different on-water and on-land activities. In addition to time spent paddling, they will hike different sections of trails along the Haw River throughout the week. Campers learn outdoor living skills such as orienteering, shelter-building, and tree and plant identification. They also work on developing teamwork and confidence as campers participate through games and exercise. This camp is scheduled for August 21st-25th at the 15-501 North Canoe Access.

From homework assistance to games, athletics, workshops for our young men and women, to drug prevention programs, the Club offers young people a range of fun, productive, and learning activities. The Clubs are open each day after school from 2:30-6:30 (OT Sloan Site), 2:30-6:30(Church St. Site) and 2:30-6:00 (Wren Family Center Site). Research has proven that between the hours of 3:00-6:00 pm, juvenile crime is on the rise. Why not send your children to a safe place during those hours?

The Boys and Girls Club also offers Summer Programming. Please contact them directly to inquire about their Summer Programs.
