DIRECTIONS: Coming from Pittsboro, head West to US-64 BUS on West East Street. At the traffic circle, take the first exit onto Hillsboro Street, and continue straight onto US-15 N/ US- 501 North Chapel Hill Road. Next Turn right onto Durham Eubanks Road and continue strait till the road ends at Bynum Road and turn left. In less than half a mile turn right onto Bynum Hill. Within the next 300 feet you will see the park on the left with a gravel parking lot. There will be mailboxes on the left side of the lot and a community garden on the right.
POND RULES: FISHING is allowed at each of the ponds at parks governed by CCP&R. Please note however it is catch and release only with an NC State Fishing License. You must abide by all rules and regulations set forth by Local, State, and Federal Wild Life agencies and it is the duty of the patron to know these rules and regulations. NO SWIMMING or PERSONAL WATERCRAFT allowed in any of the ponds on any of the CCP&R properties.
NO AIRCRAFT regardless of size allowed in parks. This includes drones, quadcopters or any type of remote controlled aircraft.
AMENITIES: Earl Thompson Park has a single light softball field, with two dugouts, bleachers, and restrooms. There is a small playground as well on the back side of the softball field.
