The Reference Desk is located at Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro. While the library is closed, reference staff members are available to provide assistance by phone, email, chat, and video conference (by appointment). To chat with us, click on the orange "Ask a Librarian!" tab in the lower right corner of our website. For in-depth research assistance, or for help downloading eBooks, please schedule an appointment to ensure that a staff member will be available to assist.
The reference collection contains nearly 500 titles, from multi-volume general encyclopedias to subject-specific resources. Patrons also have access to more than 100 online resources through NC LIVE, including ProQuest Central, Mango Languages (covering over 70 languages), Morningstar Investment Research Center, and HeritageQuest. Check our Online Resources page for links and more information. Patrons can access these databases using a public computer or personal device at the library, or remotely from home. Log in using your library card number and PIN. For assistance, please contact reference staff.
