North Carolina Children's Book Award Voting Is Open

Calling all kids! It’s time to vote for your favorite nominee for the 2020 North Carolina Children’s Book Award!

Visit Chatham Community Library during the month of March to cast your vote for your favorite nominated title. To be eligible to vote, children should read at least 5 picture books and/or 3 junior books from the list. Parents may enter votes on behalf of their child(ren). The list of nominees can be found here: http://nccba.blogspot.com/p/2020-nominees-and.html

You can also nominate your favorite book from 2017-2020 for next year’s ballot!

If you cannot visit Chatham Community Library, but would like to cast your vote or nominate a title for 2021, please send it directly to katy.henderson@chathamlibraries.org.  

Votes for the 2020 award and nominations for the 2021 nominee list will be accepted through March 31, 2020.

The North Carolina Children's Book Award program is a children's choice program sponsored by school and public librarians in North Carolina and is designed to introduce children to current children's literature and to instill a love of reading. NCCBA is sponsored by the North Carolina School Library Media Association and the North Carolina Library Association, Youth Services Section.
