Chatham Seeks Applicants for Vacancy on Triangle South Workforce Development Board
Chatham County has a vacant seat on the Triangle South Workforce Development Board, which oversees the planning, policy guidance and oversight of the workforce investment system in Chatham, Harnett, Lee and Sampson Counties.
The goal of the board is to combine area employment, training and support services and programs into a consumer-based, market-driven system that meets the needs of job seekers and employers.
The board especially needs Chatham applicants representing the business community. The appointee would serve an initial term of four years. The board typically meets every other month in the Harnett County area. The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will approve the appointee.
APPLICATIONS: The county urges interested people to submit a nomination form by Friday, November 9, 2018, but the application process will remain open until filled.
