Vehicle Stop Leads to Confiscation of Heroin and Cocaine
On June 14, a deputy with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 64 involving Quataris Barbour, 25, of 466 Davis Street, Albemarle. A K-9 search helped uncover nearly 30 grams of heroin and 2.2 grams of cocaine in Barbour’s possession.
Barbour was arrested and charged with trafficking heroin by transportation, trafficking heroin by possession, possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin, felony possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, and felony possession of cocaine. He was assigned a $225,000.00 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on July 16.
