“If any of these questions interest you, then you need to attend Chatham’s first Senior Education Retreat,” remarked Dennis Streets, director of the Chatham County Council on Aging. “No we are not going to check your age at the door—persons of all ages are encouraged to join us for what should be an outstanding day of information, insight and fun.”

The Senior Education Retreat will be held on Wednesday, April 18, at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center in Pittsboro, which begins at 8:30 am. Proceeds of the event will go toward vital services, including Meals on Wheels, in-home personal care and family caregiver respite services.

Attendees will meet a wide array of exhibitors at 8:30 AM, followed by keynote speaker, Dr. Nortin Hadler (photo at right), who will cover "Rethinking Aging."

Participants will have an opportunity fto attend three one-hour sessions on various topics. They will also enjoy lunch caterered by The Old Place.

“We really appreciate that NC Cooperative Extension and the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center are partnering with us to offer this wonderful opportunity,” added Streets.
