Job Summary

This position involves program management, including: planning, implementing and evaluating nutrition programs and services offered at and through the Chatham County Public Health Department. This position promotes and supports healthy lifestyle behaviors in an effort to prevent and manage chronic diseases in the community by providing diabetes outreach and self-management education, co-leading diabetes prevention program sessions, and offering other nutrition related community outreach. Some Medical Nutrition Therapy may also be provided, as needed. It also involves working closely with members of the community including surrounding healthcare providers. This is not a WIC position.

Minimum Qualifications

Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a Master’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Nutrition from an accredited college or university and one year experience; or Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education and two years nutrition experience.

Negotiable, dependent upon experience
