Northwoods Students Arrested for Drugs on Campus

May 24-Chatham County Sheriff’s Officials concluded a drug investigation yesterday that began on May 21st. when Deputy Herbie Stubbs received information that a student at Northwood High School in Pittsboro was in possession of LSD blotter paper and may have sold it to others on or off campus. School officials and Deputy Stubbs conducted an investigation and found in the possession of the student, one gram of marijuana, and four pieces of LSD laced blotter paper. They also discovered a second student involved in the incident.

Deputy Stubbs completed the investigation on Wednesday by arresting Antonio Walker, 20, of 1151 Thompson St, Pittsboro, and Christian Owens, 17, of 1119 Jack Bennett Road, Chapel Hill. Both were charged with Felonious Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver of Marijuana, Felonious Sell and Deliver of LSD, Felonious Possession of LSD. Both were released under a $5000.00 unsecured bond and are scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on June 4.
