Taking Control of DiabetesGray RibbonParticipants in Diabetes Class

Almost 4,000 Chatham County residents have been diagnosed with diabetes. The Chatham County Public Health Department offers diabetes prevention, self-management, and control programs for residents. 

Diabetes Self Management Education Classes-

If you are interested in more information on the Diabetes Self-Management Education classes, please contact Zach Deaton at 742-5641. Please note, you must have a referral from a physician to participate.

Diabetes Support Group

The health department hosts a monthly diabetes support group meeting. The meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. Diabetics, as well as friends and family members, are welcome to attend to learn ways to control diabetes and its complications.
