Offices to be elected in 2010:  US Senate (Burr seat),   US Congress - District 2,   US Congress - District 4,   State Senate - District 18,   State House - District 54,   Chatham County Sheriff,                Clerk of Court,   Chatham County Commissioner - Districts 3, 4, and 5,   Soil and Water District Supervisor (2 seats),   Chatham County Board of Education - District 3 and 4 (2 seats),   Chief District Court Judge, District Attorney and several seats on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. 

Any qualified voter is eligible to file to run for office.  Filing begins Monday, February 8th at noon and ends Friday, February 26th at noon.  Click here to see a list of candidates that have filed in Chatham County as of 5:00 pm on February 8th.

The filing period for Soil and Water Conservation District supervisor begins Monday June 14th at noon and ends Friday, July 2nd at noon.  Filing for ALL other offices is in February.
