NOTE: These restrictions only apply to county water customers served by the Jordan Lake Treatment Plant, which is primarily customers in Northeastern Chatham County. Note that county residents who get their water from Cary, Siler City or Pittsboro are NOT subject to these restrictions, but are subject to restrictions set by those municipalities.

Siler City Restrictions:
The county’s buys some of its water supply from Siler City. County customers served by Siler City water must follow the town’s restrictions, which are very similar to the county’s restrictions. For more information on Siler City’s water restrictions, visit the town's website.
Cary Water Restrictions:
Those served by Town of Cary water must follow Cary's restrictions, which can be found here. Cary enacted stricter water restrictions in November, 2007.
