The Wren Memorial Library in Siler City currently houses all Local History and Genealogical materials for Chatham County.  This collection includes unpublished family histories, church and community histories, as well as troop lists, cemetery records, and microfilmed census information and newspapers. Researchers have access to a dedicated computer terminal, microfilm readers, printers and a scanner. Also available is free access to HeritageQuestOnline and the North Carolina Genealogical Society Journals 1975-2000 on CD. Also, please search our catalog for published material.
