Apply for Existing AHAB Vacancies
To apply for three at-large residents vacancies, submit an application form by Monday, August 23, 2010 at 5 pm. The board especially seeks someone with banking or mortgage loan experience, but other applications are welcome. You should be a county resident and agree to comply with the Conflict of Interest Policy (link below).

PURPOSE OF THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY BOARD:
- Define affordable housing needs and existing resources;
- Encourage municipal participation in the affordable housing process;
- Coordinate with affordable housing organizations to establish a plan for resource development, partnerships and distribution to address affordable housing needs;
- Research "best industry practices" and neighboring county/municipal requirements;
- Promote affordable housing availability within the same geographic areas as employment opportunities;
- Provide public education on affordable housing; and
- Provide guidance and recommendations to the Board of Commissioners to insure the affordable housing needs of Chatham County are met.
