MISSION: The mission of MIS is to provide centralized technical support for all county departments with the goal of:

• Keeping systems running effectively to minimize downtime and maximizing networking abilities;
• Implementing a long-term technology development strategy that will allow the county to grown in a secure and technologically seamless environment.

MAJOR SERVICES:

• Information technology support to all county departments and programs
• Geographical information system (GIS) services which provides detailed mapping of locations and specific parcels in Chatham County. Users can search by parcel number, street names or property owners. Users also can specify types of data to display on the maps, including aerial photos, flood hazard areas, elevations (topography), utility lines or easements, US Census information, voting districts and data from other sources.
