Chatham County has conducted the 2009 revaluation of real property. One of the key steps under state law is to develop and adopt a new Schedule of Values, which defines the rules, standards, and values in appraising county property as part of the revaluation process. The new values took effect on January 1, 2009 and are reflected in the 2009 tax bills (mailed to property owners in August 2009).
