Goldston Veteran's Memorial

Located in the southwestern part of the county, Goldston is the smallest incorporated town in Chatham County with approximately 350 residents. It is about 10-15 miles form Pittsboro, Siler City and Sanford and was incorporated in 1907.

Goldston has an elected mayor and town board, but no full-time paid staff. The downtown area includes several stores and restaurants and a veteran’s memorial. The Old Fashion Day and Hart’s Pumpkin Festival are both held in Goldston in the fall.

Rufus' Restaurant has served Goldston residents for many years.
