Special Senior Games Events Promote Physical Activity During Colder Months
The Chatham County Council on Aging announces several Special Senior Game activites to help older residents stay active during fall and winter. The Council has compiled a monthly calendar for senior centers, located in Pittsboro and Siler City, identifying where favorite Senior Game activities and practices will take place. Also, Fridays are designated “Senior Games Practice Days” where staff can assist with training or practice space for your favorite games.
What are the Senior Games? Chatham County Senior Games, which will be held April 20-May 4, 2018, offers 40 different events and programs ranging from sports like archery, bocce, basketball shooting, to any array of activities under the "silver arts" category, such as quilting, woodcarving, jewelry making and pottery. Literary arts and performing arts also represent categories for games.
