Library Advisory Committee Has Upcoming Vacancy

Post Date:05/15/2017 2:35 PM
The Chatham County Library Advisory Committee, which primarily advises staff on library programs and operations, has an upcoming vacancy on June 30, 2017. Residents interested in serving on the committee should apply by the end of June 1, 2017.

The Library Advisory Committee typically meets four times a year. The meetings are rotated between the three libraries in Goldston, Pittsboro and Siler City. Applicants with questions about the role of the committee should contact Linda Clarke, library director, at linda.clarke@chathamnc.org or call 919-545-8081.

The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will make the appointment of a person to serve until June 30, 2020. They would be eligible for reappointment at that time.

The vacant position is assigned to County Commissioner District 3, which covers a fairly large area in and around Pittsboro, but interested county residents in other areas should apply.
